MLA Ranbir Bhullar leads effort to sensitize villagers against drug menace
Ferozepur, July 20, 2025: Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government’s ongoing campaign ‘War Against Drugs’ is gaining momentum across the state. As part of this initiative, Ferozepur City MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar spearheaded Drug-Free Awareness Rallies and public gatherings in the villages of Jhugge Hazara Singh, Khai, and Indira Colony to spread awareness among the residents against the menace of drugs.
Addressing the gatherings, MLA Bhullar urged people to stay away from drugs and those involved in drug trafficking. He appealed to the villagers to actively participate in this movement for a drug-free Punjab, assuring them that the government stands firmly with its people in this decisive fight against drugs.
He further emphasized that drugs not only destroy individuals but also families, society, and the future of Punjab. “It is important for all of us to unite and fight this evil together,” Bhullar said.
The villagers, while extending their full support to the government’s revolutionary efforts, pledged not to tolerate any drug peddlers in their villages and vowed not to support them in any manner. On this occasion, the MLA administered an oath to the residents to ensure their villages remain free from drugs.
Prominent attendees included DSP Sukhwinder Singh, Daler Singh (Vice Coordinator), Harmeet Singh Khai, Nishan Singh (Sarpanch, Khai), Surjit Singh (Block President), Billa Sarpanch, Sandeep Sarpanch, Manpreet Singh, Gurbhej Singh, Narinder Grover, Subeg Singh, Massa Singh, Major Singh, along with a large number of villagers.
