Ahmedabad (Gujarat), July 20, 2025:In a chilling incident from Kutch district of Gujarat, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable allegedly murdered his live-in partner, who was also a serving police officer, and later walked into the same police station where she was posted to confess his crime.
The accused has been identified as Dilip Dangchia, a CRPF jawan currently posted in Manipur.
On Saturday morning, he surrendered at the Anjar Police Station, where the victim, 25-year-old Arunaben Natubhai Jadhav, was serving as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).According to the police, the murder took place on Friday night at their residence in Anjar.
The couple reportedly got into a heated argument during which Arunaben allegedly made derogatory remarks about Dilip's mother. In a fit of rage, Dilip strangled her to death, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Mukesh Chaudhary of the Anjar division.
Investigations reveal that the couple had been in a relationship since 2021, having first connected via Instagram. They had been living together since then and were planning to get married, according to police sources.
“This was not a spontaneous relationship—they had been living together for several years and had future plans. But a domestic argument turned into a tragic crime,” the DySP stated.
Police have taken Dilip into custody and launched a detailed investigation into the case, including verifying the circumstances that led to the fatal altercation.
