Ferozepur three students Shine at Asian Roller Skating Championship in South Korea
Ferozepur, July 30, 2025: Three talented students from Ferozepur local school Dass and Brown, brought laurels to the district by winning silver and bronze medals at the 20th Asian Roller Skating Championship held in South Korea.
According to Abhishek Madan, General Secretary of the District Roller Skating Association, Class 12 student Bhavik Jain, Class 11’s Harnav Singh, and Harshika were selected to represent India in this prestigious event. All three athletes delivered outstanding performances, outshining teams from several other countries and raising the Indian tricolor high on the international stage.
Harshika played for the Junior Indian Inline Hockey Girls Team and secured a silver medal, marking the first-ever medal for the girls’ team in Asian Inline Hockey. Meanwhile, Bhavik Jain and Harnav Singh led the Junior Indian Inline Hockey Boys Team to victory, winning a bronze medal. Notably, Harnav Singh scored in every match, contributing significantly to the team’s success.
The news of their victory sparked celebrations at their school. Abhishek Madan shared that the boys’ team notably defeated China, the reigning Asian champions. He also expressed pride that these young players from Ferozepur made a mark at the international level at such an early age.
Dr. Anirudh Gupta, President of the District Roller Skating Association, congratulated the players and their families, wishing them continued success. Association members also extended their best wishes to the medal winners.
