GAAR commemorates 50 years of grit, glory and pride
Ferozepur, November 1, 2025: An elite Armoured Regiment of the Golden Arrow Division commemorated its Golden Jubilee with pride, honour and deep gratitude, marking 50 glorious years of valour, sacrifice and dedicated service to the Nation.
The two-day celebration, steeped in military tradition and rich regimental heritage, brought together Serving Personnel, Veterans, Veer Naris and Next of Kin (NOKs) from across the country in a heartfelt tribute to the Regiment’s illustrious journey.
On this historic occasion, Lt Gen Ajay Chandpuria, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps, unveiled a commemorative Postal Cover and Cancellation Stamp honouring the Regiment’s proud legacy and its five decades of exemplary service to the Nation.
The event resonated with esprit de corps and camaraderie, as nearly 500 Veterans, Veer Naris and NOKs participated, reliving memories of shared glory and collective pride. In a moving ceremony, the Regiment paid homage to its fallen heroes, felicitating their families and reaffirming that their Sacrifice, Courage and Devotion to duty will forever remain etched in the Regimental History.
Throughout the celebrations, serving soldiers and veterans alike participated with full military elan, reflecting the indomitable spirit and brotherhood that defines the Indian Army.
Embodying its motto - “Aham Veerah Yudhsthale” (I am Brave of the Battlefield) - the Regiment continues to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian Army, remaining steadfast in its commitment to defend the Nation with honour, pride and unyielding courage.
