New Delhi, November 29, 2025: Millions of railway passengers across India faced major inconvenience on Saturday after the IRCTC website and Rail Connect mobile app suddenly went offline, bringing all train ticket booking services to a complete standstill.
According to reports, a technical glitch caused the servers of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to crash, disrupting online ticket booking, PNR status checks, and ticket enquiry services.
Users Unable to Book Tickets or Check PNR Status
Passengers trying to book new tickets or check their existing reservations were greeted with continuous error messages on both the website and the app. The sudden outage affected travellers who were planning imminent journeys, leaving many frustrated and confused.
Technical Team Working to Fix the Issue
IRCTC officials stated that their technical team is actively working to restore services as quickly as possible. However, no official timeline has been provided yet regarding when the systems will be fully operational again.
Meanwhile, social media platforms have been flooded with complaints from users who are unable to book tickets or access essential digital services.
