The district administration successfully addressed 774 complaints received through the Action Helpline WhatsApp number 96462-22555, initiated to tackle public issues and bring relief to the citizens.
During a review meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal shared a significant achievement: the district administration has successfully addressed 473 complaints regarding the cleaning of vacant plots, all filed through the Action Helpline WhatsApp platform.
As the hammer comes down on negligent plot owners, 204 have received official notices with 23 cases flagged for red entry penalties. Dr. Aggarwal notes, quite encouragingly, that property owners themselves have rallied behind the administration's cleanup initiative.
He mentioned that in addition to cleaning the plots, boundary walls are being constructed by individuals who value cleanliness. He further instructed other plot owners to tidy up and fence their vacant lands to prevent illegal waste dumping.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the campaign of telecom and internet service providers to remove hanging, loose, unusable and damaged wires in the city. He said that 60 such complaints received through the Action Helpline have been resolved.
Similarly, while resolving the complaints received through the helpline regarding homeless animals, 241 homeless animals have been sent to cow shelters in the city so far, including 88 homeless animals shifted to cow shelters during the months of November and December.
