Railways to run Reserved Special Trains between Amritsar/Ferozepur Cantt and Prayagraj for Magh Mela
Ferozepur, January 8, 2026: Keeping in view the heavy rush of pilgrims and passengers during the Magh Mela, Northern Railway has announced the operation of reserved special express trains between Amritsar–Prayagraj–Amritsar and Ferozepur Cantt–Prayagraj–Ferozepur Cantt to ensure smooth and convenient travel.
The Amritsar–Prayagraj–Amritsar Reserved Special Express (04656/04655) - Reserved special train 04656 will depart from Amritsar for Prayagraj on January 12, 16, 21, 30 and February 13, 2026 (five trips). The train will depart from Amritsar at 5:10 am and arrive in Prayagraj at 4:30 am the next day, completing the journey in 23 hours and 20 minutes. In the return direction, train 04655 will run from Prayagraj to Amritsar on January 13, 17, 22, 31 and February 14, 2026 (five trips). It will depart Prayagraj at 8:00 pm and arrive at Amritsar at 7:00 pm the next day.
The train will halt at Beas, Jalandhar City, Phagwara, Ludhiana, Dhandari Kalan, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Alamnagar, Utraitia, Rae Bareli, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh and Phaphamau stations in both directions.
Another train, Ferozepur Cantt–Prayagraj–Ferozepur Cantt Reserved Special Express (04658/04657) – this reserved special train 04658 will depart from Ferozepur Cantt for Prayagraj on January 11, January 28 and February 12, 2026 (three trips). The train will leave Ferozepur Cantt at 1:00 pm and reach Prayagraj at 12:20 pm the next day.
In the return direction, train 04657 will operate from Prayagraj to Ferozepur Cantt on January 12, January 29 and February 13, 2026 (three trips). It will depart Prayagraj at 11:40 pm and reach Ferozepur Cantt at 11:30 pm the following night.
This train will halt at Lohian Khas, Phillaur, Ludhiana, Dhandari Kalan, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Alamnagar, Utraitia, Rae Bareli, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh and Phaphamau (PFM) stations in both directions.
Northern Railway has advised passengers to make reservations to avoid inconvenience during the peak Magh Mela period.
