SGPC Chief Dhami reaches hospital to meet injured devotees after Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji Gurudwara tragedy

Amritsar (Punjab), May 24, 2026: Following the tragic incident at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh Ji, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Harjinder Singh Dhami on Sunday visited injured devotees admitted at Sri Guru Ram Das Hospital to enquire about their health condition.
Dhami was accompanied by SGPC member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta and SGPC Secretary Balwinder Singh Kahlwan during the hospital visit.
The SGPC chief met the injured women and their families and assured them of all possible assistance and support from the committee.
The visit came hours after two women lost their lives and several others were injured when iron linter plates from an under-construction langar hall collapsed inside the historic gurdwara complex earlier in the day.
