1994-batch IAS officer given additional charge as Secretary, D/o Sports

New Delhi, June 9, 2026: The Central Government has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Sports, to Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs.
According to an official order, Govil, a 1994-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, will assume the additional responsibility with immediate effect.
She will hold the charge of Secretary, Department of Sports, until June 14, 2026, during the leave period of Hari Ranjan Rao, who currently serves as Secretary of the Department of Sports.
