Bishnoi gets warm welcome at Ferozepur after covering 17,000-km cycling to create environmental awareness

Ferozepur, July 11, 2022: Environment Lover, Subhash Bishnoi, retired Supervisor from Mandi Board, in August, 2020, Haryana was given a warm welcome, by Rotary International Ferozepur Unit, President Dr.Surinder Kumar Kapoor and members, on reaching Ferozepur, after covering 17,200 cycling starting from Sirsa, on January 27, 2021.
Physically and mentally fit after retirement, Subhash Bishnoi’s aim is to create awareness among the people to save the water and environment. So far he has covered different states of India and Nepal. During this period, he has covered Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Pondicheri, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujrat and three states of Nepal – Bagmati, Prant No.2 and Janakpur. He entered Punjab after covering 17,200 km on cycle from Fazilka, was given a warm welcome by the President and members of Rotary Club.
While interacting, Subhash Bishnoi informed that he has pledged to campaign for keeping the water and environment clean and he is visiting the different states to create awareness among the masses.
He said, instead of high-ways, I have chosen to travel on link roads, to contact the people at the ground level and travel about 70 to 80 km daily. I will culminate my journey on August 15, 2022 at his home town Hisar in Haryana.
Bishnoi said he has been given a special honour during my journey by the social organizations at Mathura and Ajmer besides getting cooperation from all the states.
He said, “Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It is also fun, cheap and good for the environment”.
