MC Patiala conducts successful plastic plogging drive collaboration with local NGOs

Patiala (Punjab), October 27, 2024: The Municipal Corporation of Patiala, under the leadership of Commissioner Dr. Rajat Oberoi, Joint Commissioner Deepjot Kaur, and Medical Officer of Health Dr. Navinder Singh, conducted a successful plastic plogging drive today.
The initiative was supported by the Corporation’s health team and various NGOs, including Janhit Samiti Patiala, Youth Federation of India, and Power House Youth Club.
Held at the Environmental Park on Passi Road and Baradari Garden, the drive saw enthusiastic participation from all involved.In recognition of their significant contributions, Commissioner Dr. Oberoi felicitated key coordinators from the NGOs, including Vinod Sharma, H.S. Lamba, and Jatwinder Grewal.
As part of their commitment to environmental sustainability, the NGOs resolved to make the plastic plogging drive a regular event, scheduled every Saturday from 6 am to 8 am.
