Amid Khalsa Aid controversy, ImWithKhalsaAid trends on Twitter

Tarn Taran, December 28, 2020: Amid the ongoing rumors that the farmers’ protest Khalistan sponsored movement being funded by various extremist inclined organizations, various social media users on Monday expressed support and appreciation for Khalsa Aid that has been at the forefront in extending necessary help to the protesting farmers at Delhi borders. The farmers are protesting against the three farm bills at Delhi borders for over a month now.
#ImWithKhalsaAid is presently trending on Twitter with support pouring in from people from all walks of life.
The call for trending the #ImWithKhalsaAid was made by some of the volunteers and supporters after some of the media channels called Khalsa Aid a Khalistani organization.
“Let’s raise voice in support of as Godi media is trying to add negativity with them. One day hashtag (28 Dec) in support of #ImWithKhalsaAid,” read the tweet of one of the supporters.

Another social media user expressed gratitude for NGO's help on protest site.
Punjabi singers including Jazzy B also came out in the support of the trend.
Following the trend, Ravinder Singh, founder of Khalsa Aid expressed gratitude for all support and love that NGO is recieving from the social media users.
Founded in 1999, Khalsa Aid is a UK-based non-government organization (NGO) carrying out humanitarian work in various parts of the world.
Last week, the international NGO has set up Kisan Mall at Delhi’s Tikri border for the protesting farmers. All the items including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, oil, shampoo, vaseline, combs, mufflers, heating pads, knee caps, thermal suits, shawls, and blankets were made available free of cost for the protesting farmers.
