A group of concerned citizens in Chandigarh has launched a new awareness initiative titled "I THINK OF OTHERS (I TOO)" aimed at promoting empathy in society, with a special focus on youth. The campaign seeks to encourage greater compassion and support for the underprivileged through collaborations with schools, colleges, and universities.
Vivek Atray, former IAS officer and TEDx motivational speaker, explained that the initiative will emphasize key areas such as educating the underprivileged, environmental awareness, assisting the elderly, raising social consciousness about harmful trends, cyber security, and adopting a balanced, empathetic mindset over self-centeredness.
The campaign will roll out through seminars, workshops, awareness walkathons, musical events, and literary competitions in partnership with educational institutions. It will also engage organizations like Rotary clubs, Vibrant Forum, literary groups such as Novel Bunch, NSS volunteers, and various schools and universities to broaden its reach.
Co-partners in the initiative, including Saguna Jain, Prof. Charanjit Singh, Col DS Cheema, and Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, expressed their support during the launch, highlighting the importance of collective efforts to build a more inclusive and caring society.
