Chandigarh, November 26, 2024: In the month of December, banks across the country will witness multiple holidays.
According to the RBI holiday calendar, there will be several back-to-back holidays in banks across various states of India on account of national as well as regional holidays.
According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar, there will be 17 non-working days, including Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays, and various festive occasions. Make sure to check the list of holidays before visiting the bank this month for any work-related matters.
Although physical bank branches will be closed on these days, customers will still have access to essential banking services via digital platforms such as online banking, mobile applications, and ATMs.

- December 1 (Sunday): Weekly holiday
- December 3 (Tuesday): Feast of St. Francis Xavier (regional holiday)
- December 8 (Sunday): Weekly holiday
- December 12 (Thursday): Pa-Togan Nengminja Banks will remain closed in Shillong due to Sangma.
- December 14 (Saturday): Second Saturday
- December 15 (Sunday): Weekly holiday
- December 18(Wednesday): Banks in Shillong will remain closed due to the death anniversary of U Soso Tham.
- December 19 (Thursday): Banks will remain closed only in Goa due to Goa Mukti Day.

- December 24 (Tuesday): Banks in Kohima, Aizawl will remain closed on Christmas Eve.
