47 MRSAFPI cadets clear NDA (II) written; institute posts record 82.45% success

Bringing laurels to Punjab, 47 cadets of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar, have cleared the NDA (II) written examination for the NDA-156 course, the results of which were declared by UPSC on Wednesday late evening; the course begins in June 2026.
Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora said 47 of 57 MRSAFPI cadets who appeared cleared the test, marking an 82.45% success rate—the institute’s highest ever for either NDA (I) or NDA (II).
“These cadets are the pride of Punjab; best wishes for their forthcoming SSB interviews and training ahead,” said Aman Arora, congratulating the achievers.
MRSAFPI Director Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, said the cadets will proceed for Services Selection Board interviews shortly, commended the staff and faculty for their efforts, and noted that seven of the institute’s nine candidates have also cleared AFCAT recently.
He added that since inception, 179 MRSAFPI alumni have been commissioned as officers in the Defence Services.
