ASI, another youth shot dead in Amritsar

Amritsar, September 18, 2026: An ASI and another youth were shot dead in two different incidents in Amritsar.
An ASI of the Amritsar Police was shot dead by two unidentified men while he was on duty near Bhagtanwala grain market. Incident occured at 3.00 AM in the morning. He was shot thrice and when was taken to a private was declared brought dead. He belonged to Tarn Taran.
In a separate incident, a youth was shot dead Surta Singh area last night by two unidentified gunmen.
