Amritsar, September 25, 2025: In an intelligence-led operation, Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantled a major narcotics and arms network, arresting six operatives involved in cross‑border heroin and weapon supplies and seizing 4.03 kg heroin alongside two pistols, including a Glock 9 mm and a .30‑bore pistol.
Preliminary probe indicates the accused stayed in touch with a Pakistan‑based handler identified as Shah through social media, receiving heroin and weapons consignments in the Khemkaran and Ferozepur sectors, which were allegedly pushed in by Pakistani smugglers using drones for onward supply in the Amritsar area.
An FIR has been registered at Police Station Gate Islamabad in Amritsar, and further investigation is underway to map backward and forward linkages and expose the full network.
