Chandigarh, October 15, 2024: Senior Akali Dal leader Virsa Singh Valtoha has resigned from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) party.This comes after Sri Akal Takht ordered SAD to expel Virsa Singh Valtoha from the party for 10 years.
In a statement issued on his social media, Valtoha wrote that, after my appearance today in front of the Singh Sahibs at Shri Akal Takht Sahib, I bow down and accept the order that has been issued about me.
Without putting the Shiromani Akali Dal leadership in any danger to implement this order, I give up the primary membership of the Akali Dal. I know that the leadership of the Akali Dal loves me very much and will always support me. It gives the status of a classical thinker. Akali blood flows in my veins and will always flow."
