CCP, CGC Landran organises national conference on Pharmaceutical Innovations

Chandigarh, September 14, 2025: Chandigarh College of Pharmacy (CCP), CGC Landran organized a National Conference on ‘Cultivating Industry–Academia Partnerships for Transformative Pharmaceutical Innovations’ in association with the Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (IPGA).
The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Atul Kumar Nasa, President, IPGA; Managing Trustee, IPGA Welfare Trust; and Former Deputy Drugs Controller & Controlling & Licensing Authority (CLA), Drugs Control Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, along with Guest of Honour Sh. Sanjeev Garg, Joint Commissioner (Drugs), State Drugs Controller (SDC), Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), Punjab, in the presence of Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, Prof. (Dr.) Rupinder Kaur Sodhi, Director-Principal, CCP, Deans and Directors of CGC Landran.
Delivering the keynote address, Chief Guest Dr. Atul Kumar Nasa inspired students by sharing his professional journey, emphasizing the prestige and values of the pharmacy profession while highlighting career opportunities and future goals for pharmacy graduates.
Guest of Honour, Sh. Sanjeev Garg, shared practical guidance on navigating the transition from academics to industry, motivating young minds to explore emerging avenues in the pharmaceutical sector.
Eminent experts gracing the occasion included Dr. Rajni Jha, IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; Mr. Supreet Singh, Psychocare Health Pvt. Ltd. & Sehatokart.com; Dr. Suresh Kumar, Punjabi University; Mr. Joginder Kumar, Signoret Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.; Dr. Vandita Kakkar, UIPS, Panjab University; Mr. Sunil Verma, Harom Solutions; Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Punjabi University; and Mr. Amit Sharma, Cipla Pharmaceutical Ltd., Baddi.
They gave insights into bridging the gap between research and application, preparing students for dynamic careers in the pharmaceutical sector. Additionally, panel discussions and poster presentations organised as part of this conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange on topics including drug delivery, nanotechnology, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical analysis and herbal drug development.
The program concluded with cultural performances, prize distribution for the winners of the poster presentations and the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Supriya Agnihotri, Head of Department, CCP, CGC Landran. Winners of the poster presentations were, Dr. Manisha Thakur, Mr. Sparsh Sharma, Ms. Isha Kapila, Ms. Rimjhim Sharma, Ms. Preeti, Ms. Praveen Kumari, Mr. Fyik Mohammad and Ms. Garima Sharma, who were recognized for their outstanding contributions.
