CM Health Card scheme sees good public support; registrations cross 41,000 in Tarn Taran and Barnala
Chandigarh, September 28, 2025: The Chief Minister Health Card scheme has drawn an overwhelming public response, with combined registrations in Tarn Taran and Barnala districts surpassing 41,000 as beneficiaries turn out in large numbers at on‑ground camps.
Officials said the strong uptake reflects public confidence in the scheme’s Rs 10 lakh cashless insurance cover, which is expected to significantly ease out‑of‑pocket medical expenses for ordinary households.
Registration counters in both districts reported heavy footfall through the day, with steady enrollments continuing and additional facilitation desks being arranged to manage demand.
Authorities added that the drive will maintain momentum in the coming days to ensure timely issuance of health cards and seamless access to cashless care once activated.
