Congress must reflect before lecturing BJP on decency: Sanjeev Rana

Chandigarh, April 19, 2025 – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh Media In-Charge Sanjeev Rana has launched a sharp rebuke against the Congress party, accusing it of political hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to public discourse and national interest.
“A party that has repeatedly crossed all limits of political decorum has no moral ground to preach civility to us,” Rana stated.
He specifically targeted Chandigarh Congress President Harmohinder Singh Lucky, urging him to refrain from lecturing the BJP on standards of decency.
Rana emphasized that BJP leaders consistently maintain respectful language, including towards their political opponents, but accused Congress of frequently using offensive language — even against the Prime Minister.
“The same party that insults the country’s highest office now pretends to uphold moral standards. Their hypocrisy is on full display,” he said.
Allegations Against Partap Singh Bajwa
Rana also raised concerns over a recent statement made by senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa, in which he reportedly claimed that 50 grenades had been smuggled into Punjab. Rana questioned how Bajwa obtained such precise information and demanded an investigation.
“Does Chandigarh Congress have prior knowledge of such incidents? If not, why have leaders like Lucky and Manish Tewari chosen to remain silent?” he asked, adding, “Is their silence coincidental, or is it indicative of a deeper connection between Bajwa’s remarks and statements made by Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun?”
BJP’s Demands
Sanjeev Rana called on the Congress party to:
- Publicly clarify its stance on Bajwa’s remarks.
- Declare whether Manish Tewari and Lucky support Bajwa’s claims or stand with the country’s security forces.
- Share any information they may possess regarding terrorist activity with the investigating agencies, as withholding such intelligence would constitute a serious national betrayal.
“Silence in the face of such serious matters is not neutrality—it is complicity,” Rana declared.
Rana concluded by criticizing Congress for using visuals of Prime Minister Modi stylized like the U.S. President in their campaign banners, suggesting it exposes their misaligned loyalties.
“This isn’t just about politics; it’s about protecting India’s sovereignty. Those who align with forces aiming to undermine national integrity will be met with strong resistance,” he said.
