Dallewal's fast-unto-death continues for 57th day; 1-day symbolic hunger strike observed in Maharashtra

Khanauri, January 21, 2025: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal continued his fast-unto-death for the 57th day at the Khanauri border. Considering the need for natural air and light since he has been in the trolley for 57 days, Jagjit Singh Dallewal will be brought out of the trolley tomorrow afternoon and shifted to the trolley/room being constructed near the stage.
A team of experts are cleaning and spraying medicines to make the area around that trolley/room bacteria-free.The farmer leaders said that Jagjit Singh Dallewal's fast to death and struggle will continue till their demands are fulfilled.
Now the farmers have taken a step forward for victory. In Maharashtra, a 1-day symbolic hunger strike was held at the district level in support of Jagjit Singh Dallewal's fast to death and a memorandum was sent to the central government through the district officials.
Thousands of farmers will observe a one-day symbolic fast in support of Jagjit Singh Dallewal's fast unto death in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, tomorrow.Both fronts have condemned the lathi-charge on farmers in Hanumangarh yesterday, saying that there is no place for such violent police action in a democracy.
