Hiimachal: Two IPS and four HPPS officers transferred

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), January 06, 2025: The Himachal Pradesh government has issued orders for the transfer and new posting of two IPS and four HPPS officers.Among the IPS officers, DIG Cyber Crime (CID) Mohit Chawla has been posted as Principal at the Police Training College (PTC) located at Daroh in Kangra district.
Along with this, IPS Soumya Sambasivan working on this post has been relieved of the charge.At the same time, IPS Ompati Jamwal has been promoted and posted as DIG (Welfare and Administration) at Police Headquarters Shimla.
He has been given this posting against the post of Inspector General (Welfare and Administration).
The state government has canceled the transfer order of IPS Arvind Chaudhary related to Police Training College Daroh.
Among the officers of Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS), Virendra Kalia has been transferred from the post of Leave Reserve SP at Police Headquarters Shimla and posted as Leave Reserve SP in State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Shimla.
Naresh Kumar has also been transferred from the post of Leave Reserve SP at Police Headquarters Shimla and posted as SP in State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Southern Range Shimla.
IPS Anjum Ara has been relieved from this post. At the same time, HPS Raman Sharma, who was awaiting posting at Police Headquarters Shimla, has been posted as SP in the Intelligence and Security Department of Dharamshala. This department manages intelligence and security related matters in Kangra district.
Apart from this, Khazana Ram, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as DSP in the 4th Indian Reserve Battalion Jungleberi District Hamirpur. (SBP)
