Another IAS officer from Punjab, Karnail Singh, has submitted his resignation and sought premature retirement. This 2015 batch officer has written in his resignation that he is resigning due to domestic and personal reasons. His retirement was to be in September, 2024.
Talking to Babushahi Network, Karnail Singh said that he has no grudge against anyone and he has no intention of joining politics. They only wanted to leave early because of their caste work and preoccupations.
In response to a question, he said that some media reports are completely wrong that he had resigned due to not getting the posting.
