Independent candidate Shakeel Muhammad withdraws nomination papers in support of Manish Tiwari

Chandigarh, May 17, 2024: Shakeel Muhammad, contesting as an independent candidate from Chandigarh in the Lok Sabha elections, today withdrew his nomination papers in support of India Alliance candidate Manish Tiwari.
On this occasion, Chairman Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board and co-in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chandigarh, Dr. SS Ahluwalia welcomed Shakeel Mohammed's withdrawal of nomination in support of India Alliance.
Mayor Kuldeep Kumar, Councilor Prem Lata, Hardeep Singh Buterla, AAP leader Chandramukhi Sharma, Dr. Harmeet Singh, Sandeep Kumar and other leaders were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Shakeel Mohammad said that today he withdrew his nomination paper in support of India Alliance candidate Manish Tiwari from Chandigarh, saying that in the last 10 years, BJP has created an atmosphere of fear in the country. It is very important to save the country at this time.
Leaders of opposition parties are being jailed without any evidence. The country has gone far behind in terms of development.
During its tenure in Chandigarh, BJP has worsened the condition of the city. Due to this, he had announced to contest the Lok Sabha elections, but today he has withdrawn his nomination papers keeping in mind the ideology of Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He said that he will work day and night to make Manish Tiwari win with huge votes and will send him to the Lok Sabha.
He further said that the whole world has seen the murder of democracy committed by BJP in the Mayor elections in Chandigarh. Till date no action has been taken against those who killed democracy, but in the Lok Sabha elections BJP is taking the support of those responsible and the people of Chandigarh will never forgive BJP.
