Jagjit Dallewal's fast-unto- death continues for 44th day

Khanauri, January 8, 2025: The fast-unto-death of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal ji at Khanauri Kisan Morcha continued for the 44th day today. Doctors have issued a medical bulletin and said that if his feet are made equal to other parts of the body, then his blood pressure drops a lot, due to which his feet have to be kept at a height to stabilize the blood pressure.
Today, a special request was made by Jagjit Singh Dallewal that he is facing difficulty in talking to the person who came to meet him, so no person should be allowed. He said that he respects the feelings of all the people who come to meet him but due to medical compulsion, he is unable to talk.
Farmer leaders said that Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan ji, after meeting with the farmers of Delhi, says that he is sad that the farmers are not getting the benefits of schemes, but on the other hand, he does not see the struggle and sacrifice of Jagjit Singh Dallewal ji, who has been on the roads since 13 February 2024 and on a fast unto death since 26 November 2024.
Farmer leaders said that according to the Agricultural Census 2016, there were 21000 farmers in Delhi, whose number has decreased in the last 8 years.
"Seeing the deteriorating health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal ji, the central government should take it seriously and solve the problems of the farmers," farmer leader said.
Samajwadi Party MP from Muzaffarnagar and National General Secretary Harinder Malik along with his delegation came to inquire about the health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal and conveyed Akhilesh Yadav's message to Jagjit Singh Dallewal.
Seeing the deteriorating health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal ji, Akhilesh Yadav ji spoke to farmer leader Kaka Singh Kotra on the phone and said that he will talk to all political parties and make efforts so that all political parties forget their differences and unite on the issue of MSP Guarantee Act so that farmer suicides can be prevented.
