  Karan Gilhotra Re-Elected Unopposed as President of Hockey Chandigarh

  Chandigarh, April 3, 2025:
  
  The General Council Meeting of Hockey Chandigarh for the election of office bearers and other members was held on 31 March 2025 at Hotel Park Inn, Sector 35-C, Chandigarh, under the guidelines of Hockey India, the National Sports Code 2011, and according to the constitution and election bylaws of Hockey Chandigarh. Representatives of all the units of Hockey Chandigarh were present at the meeting.
  
  Sarvesh Sharma, a retired gazetted officer, was the returning officer, and Kulbir Singh from Hockey India, Rajiv Sharma from the Chandigarh Olympic Association, and N. Shashi from the Chandigarh Sports Council were present as observers from their respective associations/departments. The election procedure proceeded smoothly.
  
  According to the returning officer, the election was held as per the guidelines of Hockey India and the National Sports Code 2011, and in accordance with the constitution of Hockey Chandigarh. The elections were held for eleven positions: president, senior vice president, two vice presidents (one male, one female), general secretary, two joint secretaries (one male, one female), treasurer, and three executive members. All members of the executive board were elected unopposed for a term of four years.
  
  The list of elected members is as follows:
  
  President: Karan Gilhotra
  Senior Vice President: Dr. Pushvinderjit Singh
  Vice President (Male): Anil Vohra
  Vice President (Female): S.K. Goswami
  General Secretary: Simardeep Kaur
  Treasurer: Satinder Kumar Sharma
  Joint Secretary (Male): Dr. Gurcharan Singh Gill
  Joint Secretary (Female): Paramjit Kaur Sekhon
  Executive Member: Anju Lata
  Executive Member: Harpreet Kaur
  Executive Member: Avtar Singh
  
  Other unit members, namely Adv. Karandeep Singh Cheema, Ms. Kusum Dhillon, Amolak Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Irfan Ahmed, Raziuddin, Ajay Singh, Sanjogdeep Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Gaurav Tokhi, Gurminder Singh, Balwinder Singh, and others, were present at the meeting.
  
  Karan Gilhotra, president, thanked all the members for their presence and for the unopposed election of the office bearers, which reflects the unity among the members of Hockey Chandigarh. He appealed to all members to work together for the betterment and upliftment of hockey in Chandigarh.
