Pakistan: 3-day World Punjabi Conference concludes; artists and writers call for unity among Punjabis

Lahore (Punjab), January 22, 2025: On the last day of the three-day World Punjabi Conference being held in Lahore, the artists and writers called for unity among Punjabis.
On the last day, the artists and writers demanded from the governments on both sides that Punjabis should be given open permission to meet.
Deepak Manmohan and others emphasized that we Punjabis should live together with love and affection. The dark night of desolation is over. Today, Punjabi is meeting Punjabi. Punjabis should meet each other in the same way. Trade should be increased from both sides, talk about the unity of Punjab. Fakhar Zaman, Chairman World Punjabi Conference said that when people become one, even governments fall.
The convention also discussed the role of women in society according to Sufism was discussed. The role of women in the light of the Sufi tradition was highlighted. Apart from this, two papers were read on other topics selected by the India Chapter of the World Punjabi Conference. After lunch, Punjabi poems were presented on the Sufi tradition of Punjab in which six poets participated.
At the end of the conference, a fair was organized in Alhamrah Hall No. 2. Renowned artists entertained the audience with Punjabi songs. Punjabis of Lahore cheered the artists with great enthusiasm.
The attendees are scheduled to pay obeisance at Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib today.Some special arrangements have been made for the guests by ETBP's Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar as per the instructions of the Pakistan Government.
The Governor of Punjab will attend this occasion. On the request of Fakhar Zaman, Ex-Minister, visas have been issued by the Pakistan Government specifically for these guests.
