MLA Ranbir Bhullar launches TB-Free India awareness poster
Ferozepur, February 4, 2025: As part of the Punjab government's 100-day TB elimination campaign, Ferozepur City MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar launched a TB-Free India Awareness Poster today. Applauding the efforts of the health department officials and staff, MLA Bhullar appreciated their work in conducting screenings and awareness camps for suspected TB patients. He also encouraged them in their mission to eradicate tuberculosis by 2025.
Under the guidance of Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajwinder Kaur and the leadership of District TB Officer Dr. Satinder Oberoi, the health department, along with its mass media and TB divisions, has been actively running awareness initiatives. As part of this campaign, an awareness event was organized at Green Park, Ferozepur, where MLA Bhullar emphasized the government’s commitment to providing free TB tests, X-rays, and medication at all government health facilities.
On this occasion, Raj Kumar, Rajdeep Singh, and Harminder Singh from the TB Clinic at Civil Hospital Ferozepur also shared their insights. Additionally, a pledge ceremony was held, where Taranjit Singh, President of Youth Seva Club Langiana, along with his team, committed to supporting the campaign by organizing screening camps in Langiana and nearby villages to identify TB patients.
