NSS 7-Day & Night Camp Inaugurated at Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana

Ludhiana, January 3, 2026: The NSS Unit of Ramgarhia Girls College inaugurated its 7-Day & Night NSS Camp with a strong focus on youth empowerment, career guidance, and responsible use of emerging technologies.The inaugural ceremony was graced by Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, as the Chief Guest and Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur. The guests were accorded a green welcome by the NSS volunteers and Program Officers. The program commenced with the Shabad Gayan by the volunteers that set a positive and serene tone for the day. Addressing the students, Ranjodh Singh emphasized the importance of discipline, values, and service in shaping responsible citizens. He stated, “NSS plays a vital role in developing leadership qualities and social sensitivity among students. When education is combined with service, it creates empowered individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.” The programme also featured a career guidance session by Anuj Kishore Dutta, Career Counsellor, District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Ludhiana (Government of Punjab), and Lavnish Sharma, Young Professional, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. Both speakers guided students on career planning, employment opportunities, skill development, and informed decision-making. A major highlight of the event was an insightful presentation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Prof. Palwinder Kaur, who acquainted students with the growing role of AI in education, careers, and everyday life, and encouraged its ethical and responsible use. Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the holistic role of NSS in education. She remarked, “The NSS platform enables students to grow beyond academics by nurturing social responsibility, confidence, and awareness. Activities like career counselling and AI awareness prepare our students for both social service and future challenges.” The programme also included a video showcasing the vision, objectives, and activities of the NSS Unit, reflecting the motto “Not Me, But You.” The week-long camp will include awareness programmes, community outreach activities, personality development sessions, and social initiatives aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking an inspiring beginning to a week dedicated to service, learning, and leadership.
