Mohali, September 25, 2025: Responding to the recent floods that inundated large swathes of Punjab and triggered health concerns, CGC University, Mohali, and the Nav Bharat Mission Foundation have launched a joint relief campaign for affected families in the Majha region.
Led by CGC University’s Founding Chancellor S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, convoys carrying ration kits, medical supplies, and volunteer teams reached villages in the Dera Baba Nanak block of Gurdaspur, including Talwandi Hinduana, Dharmabad, Khanna Chamiara, Mahal Nangal, Gola Dhola, Ratad Chhatar, Mansoor, and Patti Abdal—among the worst‑affected settlements.
The initiative is delivering immediate assistance to families to help them stabilize in the aftermath of the deluge. Students and faculty from CGC University are actively participating on the ground, supporting distribution, basic health outreach, and needs assessments.
University officials said the campaign reflects a commitment to service and social responsibility, with continued runs of relief material planned as communities transition from emergency response to recovery. A large number of students and teachers took part in the distribution effort.
