Ludhiana, November 13, 2025:
In a major breakthrough, the Ludhiana Commissionerate Police have dismantled an ISI-backed grenade attack module and arrested 10 alleged operatives working at the behest of foreign-based handlers, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Thursday.
Preliminary investigation indicates the accused were in touch with handlers in Pakistan through three intermediaries operating out of Malaysia to coordinate the pickup and delivery of a hand grenade, the DGP said in a post on X.
According to Yadav, the handlers had assigned the module to execute a grenade attack in a populated area with the intent to create unrest in Punjab.
Reaffirming the force’s stance, the DGP added that the Punjab Police remains committed to eliminating terrorism and dismantling cross-border terror networks to ensure peace and security in the state.
