Punjab will Vote on June 1: SVEEP Teams to amplify Voter Awareness in Grain Markets
Ferozepur, April 28, 2024: With the announcement by the Election Commission of the seven-phase Lok Sabha poll schedule, elections on 13 parliamentary seats in the state will be held on June 1 and the counting will be on June 4. Meanwhile, the SVEEP teams will also amplify Voter Awareness in Grain Markets in the state.
In a proactive move to galvanize voter participation, the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) team, operating under the guidance of District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman and Assistant Returning Officer cum SDM Guruharshai Gagandeep Singh, along with Tehsildar Chand Prakash, Superintendent Kewal Krishan, District SVEEP Coordinator Dr. Satinder Singh, and Kanungo Gagandeep, orchestrated a vibrant voter awareness campaign in Punjab's grain markets.
This campaign, titled 'Punjab Will Vote on June 1,' aimed to echo the message of the upcoming state elections on June 1, 2024. The SVEEP team, bolstered by constituency SVEEP coordinator Parvinder Singh Lalchian, engaged with farmers, labourers, and Ahartia firm owners from various villages in the grain market to sell their crops.
Emphasizing the essence of democracy, speakers urged voters to be vigilant, unbiased, and resolute in exercising their franchise. Addressing the labour workers and farmers, Karanveer Singh Sodi, Harmanpreet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, and Sushil Kumar lent their voices to the campaign, advocating for a strong democratic turnout.
The success of this initiative owes much to the collaborative efforts of the Department of Education, the Health Department, and the office of the Child Development Project Officer Guruharshahai, reflecting a unified commitment to fostering an informed and empowered electorate.
