Scrutiny of nomination papers completed on 13th September candidature of 1221 candidates found valid
Candidates can withdraw their nomination before September 16
Chandigarh, September 14, 2024: In accordance with the election schedule released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the upcoming Haryana Assembly Election 2024, the scrutiny of nomination papers for all 90 assembly constituencies was completed on Friday, September 13. The scrutiny was conducted in the offices of the respective Returning Officers across the 22 districts.
During the scrutiny of 1,746 nominations filed by 1,559 candidates, candidature of 1,221 candidates was found valid as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India. The candidatures of 338 candidates were rejected.
The Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Pankaj Agarwal provided detailed information about the scrutiny process across all 22 districts. The candidatures of 22 candidates were found valid in Panchkula district. The candidatures of 43 candidates in Ambala District, 45 in Yamunanagar District, 58 in Kurukshetra District, 68 in Kaithal District , 65 in Karnal districts were found valid.
Similarly in Panipat district candidatures of 42 candidates were found to be valid. Candidature of 72 candidates in Sonipat district, 85 in Jind district, 46 in Fatehabad district, 66 in Sirsa District , 112 in Hisar district and 69 in Bhiwani district were found to be valid.
In Charkhi Dadri district candidatures of 36 candidates were found valid. Candidatures of 60 candidates in Rohtak district, 51 in Jhajjar district, 46 in Mahendragarh district, 42 In Rewari district, 62 in Gurugram district, 23 in Nuh district, 52 in Palwal district and 56 in Faridabad district were found valid as per the guidelines.
Mr. Pankaj Agarwal said that the candidates can withdraw their nominations until September 16, 2024. After that, the final list of contesting candidates for all 90 assembly constituencies will be published, and election symbols will be allotted by the respective Returning Officers on the same day. Voting is scheduled for October 5, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
