Farmers, Labourers, and Workers' Unions to pay tributes to Martyrs at Hussainiwala on March 23
Ferozepur, March 19, 2025: Various farmer, labourer, and employee workers organizations have announced a joint program to pay tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev at the Hussainiwala Martyrs Memorial on March 23. The participating organizations include Punjab Janhuri Morcha, Dalit and Mazdoor Mukti Morcha Punjab, Krantikari Kisan Union, and Democratic Teachers Front.
The Farmer-Labourer-Workers Unions leaders Harbans Singh Mahima, Malkit Singh Haraj, and Avtar Singh Mahima, emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of these martyrs and promoting their ideology. They stated that wearing symbolically Bhagat Singh's iconic saffron turban would not suffice, something friendly has to be done instead of continuing to privatize public resources and hand over national assets to corporate entities.
The leaders criticized the governments for introducing anti-people laws that favour corporate houses at the expense of farmers, labourers, and the education sector. They asserted that only by following the ideology of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev can society free itself from corporate exploitation and resist the ongoing economic injustices.
