"What connection does he have with Pakistan?"

Chandigarh, April 13, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a sharp attack on Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday, questioning the credibility and intent behind his explosive claim that 50 hand grenades had entered the state. CM Mann has ordered investigation in the matter.
In a strongly worded statement, CM Mann said, “If Partap Singh Bajwa, the LoP, gave the details about bombs in Punjab, what connection does he have with Pakistan that the terrorists there are directly calling him and telling him how many bombs they have sent?"
Mann emphasized that no such information had been received by state intelligence agencies or from the central government, raising concerns about the origin of Bajwa's claim.
“If such a big leader of the opposition had this information, it was his responsibility to alert Punjab Police. Was he waiting for bombs to explode and people to die so that his politics could thrive?” Mann asked.
He further stated that if Bajwa’s statement was false, it amounted to an attempt to incite fear and unrest in the state.
“And if this is a lie, then does he want to spread terror in Punjab by saying such things?” the CM added.
The remarks come amid an ongoing investigation by Punjab Police, who are questioning Bajwa to verify the source of his claim that 18 of the grenades had already been used in blasts and 32 remained in circulation.
