Jalandhar (Punjab), April 14, 2025: In a significant development related to the recent grenade attack on the residence of senior BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has issued a sensational statement disowning any links with the accused – Zeeshan Akhtar, Happy Pasiya, and Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti.
Through a social media post, the Bishnoi group declared that Zeeshan and Bhatti are "enemies of the country" and are misusing the gang’s name for personal gain. The gang warned its members to stay alert and avoid any communication with the trio, accusing them of extortion.
The post further stated that they had no connection with Ashu Rana, who was reportedly seen in the company of the accused.
Reacting to the post, SSP Harvinder Singh Virk said that the police are thoroughly investigating whether the Bishnoi gang had any actual involvement in the incident.
“This case is being probed from all angles. Strict action will be taken against Zeeshan, Happy Pasiya, and Shahzad Bhatti. We are also working closely with international agencies to track down terrorists operating from abroad, including Roger Sandhu,” he added.
The SSP emphasized that no one would be allowed to disturb the peace and harmony of Punjab and warned of firm action against those spreading fear or misinformation.
Meanwhile, police have arrested Saidul Amin, the prime accused in the grenade attack case, and secured seven days of police remand for further interrogation. Authorities suspect that Shahzad Bhatti orchestrated the attack in collaboration with Zeeshan Akhtar.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials have assured that all leads, including those emerging from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s denial, are being pursued thoroughly.
