Chandigarh, April 14, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Advisor to Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Deepak Bali, has launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa, questioning his priorities following Bajwa's explosive claim that 50 grenades had entered Punjab.
Bali said that if Bajwa has credible information regarding such a serious threat, he should immediately share it with law enforcement instead of using it for media mileage.
“Bajwa ji, you have an opportunity to help safeguard Punjab. But while you have hours for media interviews, you claim to have no time to assist police in a matter of such grave concern,” said Bali.
He further accused Bajwa of deliberately avoiding police summons, adding, “If Bajwa truly cared for Punjab, he would prioritize the safety of its people over political theatrics.”
Bali warned that any delay or hesitation in cooperating with law enforcement could endanger lives. “These grenades are not just numbers—they are threats to human lives. Only the police can neutralize such dangers, and they need information to act swiftly,” he said.
Criticizing Bajwa for seeking legal protection instead of stepping forward with clarity, Bali stated, “When asked to explain his statement to the police, Bajwa chose to lawyer up. If you’re telling the truth, why hesitate?”
Bali concluded by urging Bajwa to stop playing politics over sensitive issues and to cooperate fully with investigative agencies.
“This is about Punjab’s safety, not prime-time headlines. The people deserve answers, not ambiguity,” he said.
