Chandigarh Water Supply to Be Affected on April 26 Due to Pipeline Repairs
Chandigarh, April 24, 2025 – The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has announced that water supply in several areas of the city will be affected on April 26, 2025, due to urgent repair work on a 1000mm diameter rising main pipeline. The affected pipeline carries clear water from the Water Works in Sector 39 to Sector 32, near the roundabout adjoining Sectors 37, 38, 40, and 41.
A scheduled shutdown has been approved by the competent authority to facilitate the plugging of leakages and scour repairs. As a result, the water supply from Water Works Sectors 37 and 32 will experience a temporary disruption.

The affected areas include Sectors 20 to 24, Sectors 25 to 47, Industrial Area Phase I & II, Ramdarbar, Bapudham Colony (Phase I), Colony No. IV, Manimajra, and the villages of Attawa, Badheri, Buterla, Palsora, Dadumajra Colony, and Burail.
Residents are requested to bear with the Municipal Corporation during this essential maintenance activity.
