PAU-KVK empowers farmers on 6th Day of ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ for Kharif 2025
Ferozepur, June 3, 2025: Following the guidelines of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare’s (MoA&FW), to reform Indian agriculture via Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan – Kharif 2025, to a nationwide exertion, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ferozepur, steps in the sixth day with an objective to reach the outreach, engaging farmers across the Tallewala, Hadiwala, Chak Mahanta Wala, Laipon, Gehri, Panje Ke utar, Swaya Rai Utar and Kahan Singh Wala villages of Ferozepur district. The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan continues to serve as an imperative link between agricultural revolution and on-ground realization, encouraging farmers to create a more robust and wealthy future for the Kharif 2025 season.
On June 3, 2025, KVK Ferozepur experts structured dedicated teams and with the support of agricultural officers, co-operative society representatives, and officials from the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) visited 7 villages of Guruharsahi block. The teams conducted thorough awareness sessions, Agricultural schemes led by the Government and focused on Kharif season crop production and protection strategies and importance of soil and water testing linked with other sustainable farming practices.
These farmer scientist interactions extended practical insights into advanced farming techniques, supporting farmers to utilize available resources successfully. The collaboration with co-operative societies and IFFCO ensured that farmers gained clear guidance on accessing quality inputs, such as seeds,pesticides and fertilizers, as well as financial support to adopt these sustainable practices.
At the end of the program, the KVK team collected feedback from the farmers and expressed their gratitude for their active participation. Farmers were encouraged to make full use of the services and resources offered by PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ferozepur, to boost agricultural productivity and secure a prosperous future.
