Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chouhan visits Patiala village,drives tractor, interacts with farmers; Watch Video

Patiala (Punjab), June 5, 2025: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited a village near Rajpura in Patiala district today. The Minister was seen driving a tractor through the fields as he interacted closely with local farmers, listening to their concerns and experiences.
During the visit, Chouhan paid rich tribute to the land and people of Punjab. "I pay my regards to the land of Punjab. This fertile land and its hardworking farmers are the source of the food we receive," he said.

The Minister engaged in detailed discussions with farmers about their methods and challenges. Accompanied by agricultural scientists, Chouhan emphasized the importance of science-backed solutions for modern farming. “We sit and discuss the work process of these farmers, and that is why we have a scientist with us — to solve their problems and share better solutions,” he noted.
Encouraging innovation and water conservation, Chouhan advocated for the adoption of direct seeding techniques. “I want to tell all the farmers to learn from the farmers of Punjab and start a direct seeding process as a better farming method to save water,” he advised.
