Dr. Baljit Kaur Distributes Appointment Letters to New Recruits in Social Security, Women and Child Development Department

Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur distributed appointment letters to a new batch of employees in the department in a ceremony held at Punjab Bhawan.
As part of the ongoing recruitment drive, appointments were made to 10 posts of Anganwadi Supervisor, 6 posts of Superintendent (Children Homes), and 1 post of District Social Security Officer. The minister also noted that a recent recruitment drive had filled 97 Anganwadi Supervisor positions, further reinforcing the department’s workforce and its capacity to deliver crucial welfare services.
Congratulating the new appointees, Baljit Kaur urged them to approach their duties with honesty, dedication, and empathy to ensure that government schemes reach those in need efficiently and transparently. She underlined the vital role of field staff in implementing social security, women’s welfare, and child development initiatives at the grassroots level.
Highlighting the Punjab Government’s commitment to employment under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, she shared that more than 54,000 youths have received government jobs to date. She encouraged the new recruits to act as a strong link between government policy and beneficiaries, especially for the state’s women, children, and elderly.
Senior officers of the department, including Special Chief Secretary Raji P. Shrivastava, Director Shena Aggarwal, Special Secretary Keshav Hingonia, Joint Secretary Anand Sagar Sharma, Additional Director Charanjit Singh, and Deputy Director Sukhdeep Singh, were present at the event and shared their congratulations, encouraging the new staff to make meaningful contributions in public service.
