Specialist doctors deployed in flood-hit Villages to provide post-flood healthcare
300 patients treated at Mega Medical Camp
Ferozepur, September 12, 2025: The Health Department has deployed specialist doctors in flood-affected areas of Ferozepur to strengthen the post-flood healthcare services, said Dr.Rajwinder Kaur, Civil Surgeon.
A mega medical camp was organised today at Radha Soami Dera in the border village Jalloke, where over 300 patients were examined and provided medicines. The camp featured specialist doctors for dermatology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, medicine, ophthalmology, and dentistry. Six children were immunised, while gynaecologist Dr. Shaina Mehta conducted ANC check-ups for 16 pregnant women.
Dr. Rajwinder Kaur informed that more than 60 health teams are operating daily across flood-affected areas, and additional specialist camps will be set up to prevent vector-borne and water-borne diseases. The department is also conducting mosquito control spraying to safeguard public health.
Prominent doctors and health officials, including Dr. Sushma Thakkar, Dr. Meenakshi Abrol, Dr. Yugpreet, Dr. Naveen Sethi, Dr. Tushti, Dr. Dikshit Singla, Dr. Gurinder Jeet Singh Dhillon, Dr. Anish Maini, Dr. Rekha, and Dr. Vibhu, participated in the camp.
