Bibi Jagir Kaur honoured at Gurdwara Sahib in Germany
Urges women to lead social transformation

Neonkirchen, Saarland (Germany), October 12, 2025: Prominent Sikh leader and former SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur, who is also the Chief Administrator of Sant Baba Prem Singh Ji Murale Wale Memorial Trust, was honoured during her recent visit to Germany.
She met with members of the Indian, Punjabi, and Sikh diaspora during her European tour.

Bibi Jagir Kaur attended a special congregation at Gurdwara Sahib Neonkirchen Saarland, held to commemorate the Jyoti Jot Divas of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The ceremony featured the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib followed by Gurbani Kirtan and Gurmat Vichar by Granthi Bhai Sandeep Singh. Devotees from across the region participated in large numbers.
During the event, Gurdwara Committee members — including Chief Sevadar Bhai Lakhbir Singh Mangi, Acting President Bhai Gurbachan Singh, and other community representatives Bhai Jagtar Singh, Bhai Dalbir Singh, and Bhai Narinder Singh — presented Bibi Jagir Kaur with a Siropa (robe of honour) and a commemorative plaque in recognition of her service to the Panth. She was also accompanied by Sardar Narinder Singh Ghotra, Member of the Frankfurt City Council.

Addressing the gathering, Bibi Jagir Kaur said that wherever Sikhs go, they carry forward the universal message of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji — to work hard (Kirat Karni), remember God (Naam Japna), and share with others (Vand Chhakna).
Emphasizing the vital role of women, she said, “Sikh women should stay away from superstitions and rituals. The daughters of Mata Gujri Ji embody strength and wisdom. Women are the foundation of families, society, and nations — they have the power to transform the world.”
