Breaking: Punjab Cabinet takes key decisions

Chandigarh, October 13, 2025: The Punjab Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, on Monday approved a series of significant measures aimed at improving infrastructure, agriculture, and law enforcement in the state.
Key decisions taken in the meeting include:
- Approval of Group Housing Scheme to boost affordable housing in the state.
- Cleaning of Punjab’s rivers at 85 identified locations to improve water quality and environmental health.
- Removal of sand from farmers’ fields to ensure better agricultural productivity.
- Strict anti-drug measures in prisons, including the deployment of sniffer dogs for effective monitoring.
- No de-listing of rivers from environmental protection status.
- One-time extension granted for the Moga Project to facilitate timely completion.
