Chandigarh, November 21, 2025 — Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler, who also serves as a spokesperson for the Shiromani Akali Dal, stated that the Punjab and Haryana High Court has termed the arrest of Nachhattar Singh Gill, President of the party’s IT Wing, as unjustified and illegal, and has ordered his release.
“Punjab and Haryana High Court today termed the arrest of Nachhattar Singh Gill, President of the party’s IT Wing, who was illegally picked up by the police on November 15, as illegal and unjustified. The Court has issued an order for his release,” Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler said in a video message.
Gill, a resident of Pheloke, was taken into custody by Tarn Taran police last week. He was booked on allegations of obstructing police personnel from performing their official duties. His arrest had triggered strong reactions from party members, who alleged political motivation behind the action.
