Dev Samaj College of Education hosts 18th Convocation, 225 students awarded degrees

Chandigarh, November 30, 2025 — Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36B, Chandigarh, celebrated its 18th Convocation on campus, conferring degrees on 225 graduating students. Panjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Chairperson of DSCE Management, and Sh. Maanvinder Singh Mangat, Secretary of DSCE Management, also attended the event.
The ceremony began with the college prayer, followed by Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Richa Sharma’s welcome address and the formal declaration of the convocation opened.
In her convocation address, Prof. Vig emphasised that earning a higher education degree reflects one’s ability to think independently. She urged students to avoid taking shortcuts, listen to their inner voice, and direct their energy toward meaningful pursuits.
Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to uphold dedication and responsibility as they step into the teaching profession.
Prof. Vig awarded degrees to students from the 2020–22, 2021–23, and 2022–24 sessions across B.Ed., M.Ed., Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, and Post Graduate Diploma in Child Guidance & Family Counselling programs. Academic toppers from four sessions were also honoured for their outstanding achievements.
A total of 225 students received their degrees during the ceremony.
