MP Aujla writes to CM, demands financial assistance and security for family of District Manager who committed suicide

Amritsar, April 15, 2026. In the case of the death of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation’s District Manager, the late Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, under suspicious circumstances, Amritsar Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla has written to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, demanding strict action.
In his letter, MP Aujla described the incident as extremely tragic and concerning. He stated that Gagandeep Singh Randhawa had been facing prolonged mental harassment, pressure, and threats, which were linked to his official duties and tender-related matters. He added that the case is not merely personal but raises serious questions about the administrative system.
The letter also mentions that an FIR has been registered against former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, his father, and his personal assistant under charges including abetment to suicide, criminal intimidation, and other sections. Additionally, serious allegations such as tampering with evidence, failure to submit electronic devices, and delays in providing CCTV records have also surfaced.
MP Aujla urged the Chief Minister to:
Ensure the immediate arrest of other accused named in the FIR
Take strict action against those attempting to tamper with evidence
Provide immediate financial assistance and security to the bereaved family
Grant a government job to an eligible family member
Release all pending dues, including salary, pension, and service benefits, without delay
He stated that forcing a government officer into such circumstances leading to suicide is shameful for any civilized society, and the government must take swift and strict action in this matter.
In conclusion, MP Aujla expressed hope that the state government will take prompt and impartial action in this serious case.
