Railway organizestree plantation Drive under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign
Ferozepur, May 27, 2026: Under the ongoing World Environment Day campaign, the Ferozepur Railway Division organised a tree plantation drive today as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative to promote environmental conservation.
The plantation programme was held collectively in the premises of the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Ferozepur, under the leadership of Divisional Railway Manager Mr. Sanjeev Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar said that environmental protection is a collective responsibility of everyone in the present times. He stated that large-scale plantation is one of the most effective ways to combat challenges like global warming. Motivating officers and employees, he appealed to them to join the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign by planting at least one sapling in the name of their mother and contributing towards the service of Mother Earth.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager Mr. Nitin Garg, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Mr. Bhupendra, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Ms. Sakshi Singh, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Mr. Rishi Pandey, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager/Freight Mr. Paramdeep Singh Saini, along with other officers and employees, enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive.
Besides the DRM office premises, collective plantation activities under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign were also carried out at major railway stations across the division.
