CGC University Mohali welcomes the new academic session with ‘NextGen Nexus 2026’ orientation programme

Mohali (Punjab), July 22, 2026: CGC University Mohali marked the beginning of its new academic session with the grand launch of its flagship orientation programme, ‘NextGen Nexus 2026’. Designed to welcome new students into an environment of innovation, excellence and limitless opportunities, the programme brought together prominent thinkers, corporate leaders, diplomats, spiritual speakers, artists and personalities from the entertainment industry.
During the orientation programme, distinguished personalities from diverse fields shared their experiences and insights with the students.
Renowned spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori inspired students to lead purposeful lives and move forward with confidence and determination. Prominent entrepreneur, author and content creator Ankur Warikoo encouraged students to embrace challenges, develop independent thinking and build successful careers through continuous learning.
Strengthening the university’s international outlook, Alba Smeriglio and Madhu Mishra from the British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh, engaged with the students and shared valuable insights on international education, environmental sustainability and global opportunities.
Leading figures from the corporate world also addressed the students and familiarised them with the evolving needs of the industry. Entrepreneurs including Arvind Pal Singh, Samrat Banerjee and Rohan Kumar Sudan shared valuable insights on achieving success in life and career.
Prasanna Paneerselvam, Hardeep Singh Bamrah, Anand Akhori, Vishal Srivastava, Padamjit Singh and Lavin Sharma also addressed the students. The corporate leaders held discussions on emerging technologies, leadership, digital transformation and the changing employment landscape.
Adding an element of entertainment and cultural vibrancy to the programme, internationally acclaimed mentalist and psychological performer Sahil Sheikh captivated the audience with his spectacular magic show.
Teams associated with upcoming Punjabi films, including Ishqnama, Dastaar, Yaar Jigri Kasooti Degree, Kankaan De Ohle and Azaad Singh, also made a special appearance, giving students an opportunity to interact with artists and personalities from the Punjabi film industry.
On the occasion, University Chancellor Rachpal Singh Dhaliwal, who has been honoured with the Father of Education Award in Japan, welcomed the students and inspired them to make the most of their university journey.
He said that education at CGC University Mohali extends far beyond the classroom. Initiatives such as ‘NextGen Nexus’ aim to nurture responsible and confident leaders who can bring meaningful change to society through skills, knowledge and strong values.
University Managing Director Arsh Dhaliwal introduced the new students to the campus ecosystem and highlighted the university’s international achievements and wide range of opportunities for academic and professional growth.
